With MLB Opening Day just a couple of days away, there are those that will be filling up the ballparks on Opening Day and if they don’t go then, they will then go at some point during the summertime. There are those crazy baseball fanatics that will try and go visit every single ballpark in one summer or just try and go do it in their lifetime.
There are those who only like going to certain ballparks because they are nicer than others. The mlb lines are out for the 2022 World Series. There are those who will want to visit stadiums with playoff teams. Anyhow, what are some of the best ballparks to visit in the summertime?
Wrigley Field, Chicago, Illinois
Wrigley Field is one of the most historic ballparks in the MLB. They are the home of the Chicago Cubs. Anytime you are in Chicago, Illinois over the summer, going to Wrigley Field has to be on the bucket list of baseball fans. In the outfield, they have the famous ivy on the wall. Baseballs can get lost easily over in the Ivy.
One of the things they do in the summertime is that they have Friday afternoon games that start at 2:20 p.m. ET (1:20 CT local time). This happens a lot in the summertime and it feels like a cool experience to witness a Friday afternoon game instead of a Friday night game. It feels like a culture over there with those afternoon games on Fridays.
It has the old-schooled scoreboard features in center field with some of the other games scored out in the outfield. On the side of the stadium, it has an old-schooled feature of Wrigley Field Home of the Chicago Cubs. They have +10000 odds to win the 2022 World Series title this season though.
Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts
Fenway Park is also one of the most historic ballparks in the MLB. This is home to the Boston Red Sox. They also have the old scoreboard features and their main attraction to the stadium is the Green Monster. It is not deep in length, but it is extremely high. There are so many baseballs that are hit off of there and make a loud sound.
Many people want to sit up in the Green Monster, but there are only so many people that get that opportunity to do so. The lower section has old-time seats that feel like something from the 1800s.
One of the things they love to do at every home game for the Boston Red Sox is to sing the song, Sweet Caroline, during the seventh-inning stretch and it is a ballpark tradition. The Boston Red Sox have +1800 odds to win the 2022 World Series
Yankee Stadium, Bronx, New York
Yankee Stadium is in the Bronx, New York. This is the new Yankee Stadium, but it ain’t so new anymore. They have so much rich history of that past, that they should be showing stuff on the history channel.
The New York Yankees have all of these plaques and other memorabilia inside the ballpark to check out. One of the best things they have during the summer is old-timers day and it is usually sold out in a hurry and very expensive. They have so many numbers retired.
The New York Yankees have +1000 odds to win the 2022 World Series. They haven’t won the World Series Title since 2009 against the Philadelphia Phillies in six games.
Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, California
Dodger Stadium is home to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Los Angeles, California. There are tons of beaches to go check out in the area during the summertime, along with going to see a baseball game there. Los Angeles has so many stars in its lineup. The Dodgers don’t get enough fans sometimes at their games even though they are loaded and traffic is sometimes a problem.
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ odds to win the 2022 World Series are at +500 and they are the favorites to win it all this year.
