Pickup from your JBR building entrance. The route takes Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) south, then Emirates Road (E611) southeast to the Lahbab desert — approximately 55 kilometres from JBR.

The Lahbab Red Dunes are the standard destination for all Dubai Adventures tours. Higher, more dramatic, and better for photography than the closer Al Awir area — the extra 10 minutes of drive time is visible in the quality of the dunes.

The ideal period for an evening desert safari. Temperatures at sunset drop to a comfortable 20–28°C, and evenings at camp are genuinely pleasant. JBR hotels are at near-full occupancy through winter — book at least 48 hours in advance during December and January.
☀️ May to September — Summer
Daytime temperatures on JBR Beach exceed 40°C in summer, but evening safaris departing after 3:30–4:00 pm are fully viable. The desert cools quickly after sundown, and by the time you reach camp the temperature is comfortable. Summer offers better pricing, smaller groups, and easier availability.
Avoid heavy meals in the 2–3 hours before your pickup. Dune bashing on a full stomach is not recommended.
Do you pick up from all JBR towers, including holiday apartments?
Yes. We pick up from every building in JBR — all six clusters, all 40 towers, including holiday homes, short-term rentals, and serviced apartments. Provide your building name and tower number when booking and we will confirm the exact pickup point.
Is there a surcharge for JBR pickup compared to other areas?
No. JBR is within our standard pickup zone. The prices listed — AED 120, AED 250, and AED 700 — are the full prices with no additional location fee.
How early should I be ready for pickup?
Be in the lobby or at your building entrance 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Our driver will message you on WhatsApp when they are 10 minutes away.
Can you pick up from Bluewaters Island?
Yes. Bluewaters Island is bridge-connected to JBR and sits within our standard pickup zone. We regularly collect from Bluewaters Residences and the hotels on the island at no extra charge.
What if I am in a short-term holiday apartment and there is no hotel lobby?
Common in JBR’s Sadaf, Bahar, and Murjan clusters. Just let us know your building and tower at booking and we will arrange a clear meeting point — usually the main building entrance or ground-floor lobby area.
Is the Private Family Safari suitable for children?
Yes, it is our most family-friendly option. Your group has an exclusive vehicle and private camp area, which is much more comfortable for families with young children. We recommend a minimum age of 4 for dune bashing — younger children can still enjoy the camp, camel rides, and entertainment.
How does the JBR desert safari compare to beach activities?
They complement rather than compete. Most JBR guests combine a beach morning with an evening desert safari — beach clubs typically run until 6 pm, and desert safari pickup from JBR is between 3:00 and 4:30 pm. Many guests find this the best way to experience both sides of Dubai in a single day.
