Jumeirah runs parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road, with several access points heading south toward the desert. Drive time to Lahbab is typically 50-60 minutes depending on which part of Jumeirah you are in. Jumeirah 1 is slightly closer, Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim slightly further, but all are well within a comfortable drive.

Jumeirah’s streets follow a villa-and-plot layout rather than named towers. When booking, provide your villa number, street name, and the closest landmark or cross street. Our drivers know the Jumeirah road network well and will confirm the pickup point on WhatsApp.

The Lahbab Red Dunes are the destination for all Dubai Adventures tours. The extra few minutes of drive time compared to Marina or Downtown guests is worth it: Lahbab is significantly more dramatic than the Al Awir area dunes closer to the city.
Peak season for Jumeirah’s luxury hotels, which attract a high-spending international crowd through winter. Desert evening temperatures between 18°C and 28°C are comfortable throughout. Book at least 48 hours ahead for the Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah area, where tour desks are busy through the peak months.
Jumeirah has a large permanent villa resident population who stay in Dubai through summer. Evening safaris from 4:00 pm are fully viable, the desert cools rapidly after sundown. Many Jumeirah residents choose summer for a desert safari precisely because the camps are quieter and more atmospheric with smaller groups.

Approximately 55-65 kilometres to the Lahbab Red Dunes via Sheikh Zayed Road and Emirates Road. Drive time is 50-60 minutes from Jumeirah 1 and 2, and 55-65 minutes from Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim. The drive is straightforward with minimal city congestion once you join the highway.
