Quick answer: Most visitors reach the desert via hotel pickup, included in their safari package. If your hotel isn’t covered, use a centralized meeting point in your area or self-drive to Lahbab (Al Awir Road, ~50 km from Dubai Marina, 45–55 min).

Option 1: Hotel Pickup (Most Common)
Included free in all our packages. How it works:
- Book your safari → provide hotel name and room number
- Receive WhatsApp confirmation with your exact pickup window
- Be in the hotel lobby 15 minutes before your pickup time
- Driver calls/WhatsApp messages on arrival
- Air-conditioned 4×4 Land Cruiser to the camp — 45–75 min depending on pickup location
- Return drop-off to the same hotel, typically 9:30–10:30 PM

Option 3: Self-Drive to Al Awir Meeting Point
For visitors renting a car or wanting flexibility. Our self-drive meeting point is at Al Awir, on Dubai–Al Ain Road (E66), ~35 km from city center. Full details: Desert Safari Self-Drive
Route from Dubai Marina:
- Take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) south toward Abu Dhabi
- Merge onto Dubai–Al Ain Road (E66) at interchange
- Exit at Al Awir — our team meets you at the designated parking point
- Total drive: ~40 km, 35–45 min (traffic-dependent)
Route from Downtown / Business Bay:
- Take Al Khail Road (E44) south
- Merge onto Dubai–Al Ain Road (E66)
- Exit at Al Awir — same meeting point
- Total drive: ~35 km, 30–40 min
Self-drive notes:
- Paved road all the way to Al Awir — no off-road required to reach the meeting point
- Our 4×4 takes over from Al Awir for the dune bashing portion

Option 3: Self-Drive to Al Lahbab Desert
For visitors renting a car or wanting flexibility. The desert camp is near Al Lahbab (Red Dunes area), ~50 km from Dubai city center.
Route from Dubai Marina:
- Take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) south toward Abu Dhabi
- Merge onto Dubai–Al Ain Road (E66) at the interchange
- Exit at Al Awir — follow signs for Lahbab / Big Red
- GPS coordinates for camp entry: 24.8622° N, 55.5122° E
- Total drive: ~50 km, 45–55 min (traffic-dependent)
Route from Downtown / Business Bay:
- Take Al Khail Road (E44) south
- Merge onto Dubai–Al Ain Road (E66)
- Same exit: Al Awir → Lahbab
- Total drive: ~45 km, 40–50 min
Self-drive notes:
- Paved road all the way to the camp entry point — no off-road driving required to arrive
- Park at the designated lot; camp staff will meet you on arrival
- Return drive in darkness — save the GPS coordinates before you leave
- Toll (Salik) applies on E11 and some E66 sections — have a registered Salik tag or rental with toll coverage
Option 4: Bus Package (Groups & Budget Travelers)

Timing: When Does Pickup Start?
Evening safari (most popular):
- Pickups start: 3:00 PM (Marina/JBR) to 4:00 PM (Deira/outer areas)
- Arrive at camp: 4:30–5:00 PM
- Return to hotel: 9:30–10:30 PM
Morning safari:
- Pickups: 5:45–6:30 AM by area
- Return: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM
Overnight safari:
- Same pickup as evening safari
- Return next morning: 7:00–8:30 AM

Can I be picked up from an apartment or residence, not a hotel? Yes. Provide the building name, area, and a nearby landmark. We cover Business Bay, JLT, JVC, Sports City, and most residential clusters.
What if I miss my pickup? Call or WhatsApp +971 52 517 0968 immediately. We’ll try to redirect the driver if within 10 minutes or arrange a taxi to the camp meeting point as a backup — cost is on the guest.
Can I join mid-route at a meeting point instead of hotel pickup? Yes — just inform us at booking. Choose the nearest mall meeting point and we’ll add you to that vehicle.
Is the road to the desert paved? Yes, all the way to the camp entry. Only the dune bashing itself is off-road — in our licensed 4×4s, not your vehicle.
Do you cover Sharjah pickups? Yes. Sharjah pickups run earlier (2:45–3:00 PM) due to border traffic. Confirm area on booking.
